War and Rumors of War

In the last week, we have seen or heard of the possibility of three major war-starting events. The Russian buildup of forces on the Ukrainian border, an Israeli drone strike in Iran, and China’s air excursion of military aircraft over Taiwan. Most of the attention has been given to the Russian/Ukraine standoff.
The Russians
Little is known of the motivations of Putin and his reasons to invade. One senior Biden Administration advisor was quoted as saying, “What we definitively know is ‘What the heck?’” The apparent confusion of the Biden team was revealed when Biden seemed to indicate an incursion might not be challenged in a press conference and the next morning on CBS, the chief of staff reported that what Biden really meant was just the opposite. A short scenario might play out with the Russians taking Ukrainian territory, triggering a US/NATO response that could escalate quickly.
The Chinese
While the rest of the world is worrying about the Russian/Ukraine dilemma, the Chinese could easily launch an invasion of Taiwan over which it flew 39 warplanes on January 23. The planes caused the Taiwan Military to scramble their jets in response. While the world is distracted by the land issues of Russia and Ukraine, they might take the lapse to accomplish their long-sought objective of reuniting Taiwan to the mainland. The US and Pacific allies might have their hands full, supporting two fronts at once.
The Israelis
Israel, long hated by Iran and frustrated to stand on the sidelines while Iran is allegedly producing weapons-grade plutonium, send a drone strike into Iran on Sunday, Jan 23 near a nuclear site. The details of the strike are murky and hard to confirm, some sources in Israel confirm it happened and might have been a move to cripple Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
The End Times?
The above three players all seem to have a role in the end times prophecies as proclaimed by God. Regardless of your convictions or the lack thereof in regard to the end times prophecies, these actions should cause you to look up and interpret them in the light of the Bible.
