Navigating This War
We are living in a world at war. I’m not only talking metaphorically and spiritually either, we are literally at war and very possibly WW3. According to Scripture, we’re quickly approaching what the Bible refers to as the Great Tribulation - a time of darkness and evil the world has never known before.
The insanity of it all is that most people have literally NO idea that this is the case, even as it happens all around us and at breakneck speed. There is a Luciferian agenda, constructed and built by our enemy himself, using his puppets of men and women, keeping us all distracted and from walking in truth. It’s unfathomably bizarre to say the least, but the Bible did, in fact, warn us of such times and that if it were possible even the elect would be deceived (Matthew 24:24).
In case you wonder how so many can miss a lot of the information flow in the world, our home can serve as an example. I live in a house with only my husband (we are ‘empty-nesters’) and spend almost 24/7 hours together. Yet we receive different truths, data flows, and narratives all based on what direction algorithms take him and where mine take me. We are both passionate and sold-out followers of Jesus so we are undoubtedly equally yoked, but our information flow is totally different from one another. We have to constantly work to connect our data and outlook. The only way to successfully navigate conflicting spirits vying for our hearts, minds, and distracted attention is the Bible, as interpreted through the Ru’ach Hokadesh. It is our only hope and stay.
That said, if you’re awake and paying attention, I’m curious to know what intel sources are serving you best. There is obviously NO shortage of information floating around out there in the annals of the Internet and in books. Knowing which sources can be trusted and what are intended by our enemy to deceive and distract can be unbelievably confusing, especially if you have no other way to verify most of it. Having spent the better part of going on seven years now of being fully awake and navigating all this intel and internet chatter, I’ve landed in a pretty solid position of knowing who and what can be trusted. You may be begging for a list of some sort of ‘trusted sources’. This is quickly dwindling and is almost impossible to assemble. The guiding principle now is that I trust no one (“Let God be true and every man a liar.” ~ Romans 3:4) but I’ll scour and vet any and all information I come across through the Bible and my most reliable of resources that align with the Bible. If some source says something is about to happen and it doesn’t or I don’t see it clearly laid out in Scripture, I don’t trust it. Period. I’ll hold space for it happening but I hold it very, very loosely now. I’ve been fooled one too many times by seemingly real and compelling data that only later proved to be incorrect, a smokescreen, and/or a diversion from what is really going on.
There are so many souls who seem to be content to stay asleep and be distracted by all the things we’re warned not to be distracted by in Scripture. The daily cares of this world are constantly choking out the things we’re commanded to do here on earth while we await His triumphant return and glorious re-appearing. We’re told to watch, wait, occupy, and win souls until He returns, not build our own kingdoms, focus on material possessions and look for ways to numb ourselves to the pain of others. Being distracted by the current circuses of our day (sports, games, entertainment, etc) makes us blind to the darkness and evil that is rapidly encroaching upon our planet while we are waiting.
I know it’s overwhelming navigating so much chaos and clutter but we’re promised we will not have a spirit of confusion if we are walking in His light. His perfect will and plan bring the promised peace and assurance that can only come from knowing the Author and Perfecter of our very lives and stories. Regardless of what is happening in this increasingly crazy world of ours, we can walk in victory, joy, hope, and overwhelming peace as we are carried in His all-powerful and all-knowing arms of Psalm 91 protection and leading.
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us that, having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and piously in the present age, awaiting the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:11-13
