One of the questions often asked is, “Are we actually having more natural disasters or are we just more aware of them?”

Some say that we are having about the same number of climate disasters as we have always had, but through social media or other platforms, we just see them now.  They stick out.  In other circles, this could be called ‘Confirmation Bias’. 

Let’s look at some data.  For our time today, let’s look at the number of wildfires in Canada.  According to Stastia, the number of wildfires this year has been, well, off the charts!

As you can see, the average from 2003 to 2022 is far below the numbers for 2023.

As you can see, the average from 2003 to 2022 is far below the number in 2023.  The number of wildfires really did increase in 2023! 

So what?  This is just one data point to show you that the real world really is experiencing what the Bible might label as some of the events surrounding the end of time.
